Chocolate Rocket

Chocolate Rocket - DAVIDsTEA

This is a pretty looking tea.  Even has sliced almonds in it.  Yum, right? Wrong.  This tea smelled and tasted like artificially scented chocolate lipstick to me.  Not that I've eaten artificially scented chocolate lipstick before.... but this is what I'd imagine it would taste like.  Um... yeah...

Tea #12 - Happy Kombucha

Things that are tropical are kind of my jam, so when I smelled this I was really excited about it.  Unfortunately, it smelled way better than it tasted.  I mean, it tasted alright, it just didn't pack the punch I was hoping for.  I left it on my desk for a little bit, and when I went back to it, it had cooled down.  After tasting it cold, I think it would be better as an iced tea-- especially if you added a little bit of honey to it.  As a hot tea though, not so much.

Tea #11 - Jessie's Tea

Jessie's Tea - DAVIDsTEA

The name Jessie's Tea isn't very descriptive, so when we picked this as our tea of the day, I honestly had no idea what we were in for.  It's definitely a pretty tea, a rooibos with lavender, cornflowers, and coconut bits.  When I first smelled it, the strongest smell to me was the coconut, then a slight lavender smell, and even a bit of a mintiness.  Steeped, the smell changes so the mint smells stronger than the coconut-- which is interesting, considering there isn't any mint in this tea.  I could taste the coconut again once the tea steeped... and also the ghost mint... which isn't there.  I like this tea, it has kind of a delicate flavor which is nice.  But, i'm still not convinced there isn't mint in it.

Tea #10 - Organic North African Mint

Organic North African Mint - DAVIDsTEA

This tea was quite pleasant! When I first smelled it, I immediately smelled the mint but it also had a big of a spiciness to it as well.  The spice reminded me of mulled wine at Christmas time-- like the same type of cinnamony, peppery, warm scents.  Combined with the refreshing, clean mint tea, it was a really interesting balance. I approve. :)

Tea cups and stuff!

I went to the flea market today and got some pretty tea cups and saucers and things! Yay!

The lady I bought two of the teacups from told me that I was a very nice girl who didn't have any earrings or tattoos.  And also, she liked my natural hair color.  I think her sight might not have been so good... haha.  But she seemed nice!

It smells like a chai, tastes like a chai, looks like a chai... must be a chai!  I love myself a yummy chai tea and this one is great! It's exactly what I'd expect from a chai tea.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Delicious!

Tea #8 - Long Life Oolong

In the past, I've never really found an oolong I enjoyed, but this is one I can get behind!  It has a refreshing, sweet and fruity taste and smells absolutely delicious.  And with the fruit pieces blended with the oolong tea leaves, it's a very pretty looking tea as well.  Hmm... I think this might be my gateway oolong.
